Rabia Bee Bee was born to parents Shaik Mustan and Hyath Bee Khan. Rabia Bee Bee later became known as Raboobee which became the family surname. Raboobee was known to be an entrepreneur and successful business woman.

The Wahid family are descendants of Sheik Emam Raboobee and his first wife. They were blessed with two sons Sheik Abdulla and Sheik Hassan, and two daughters Fathima and Halima.

Son Abdulla Raboobee married Dr Mossidah.
Son Hassan Raboobee married Janet (Zeenat)
Daughter Fathima Raboobee married Molvi Abdul Wahid.
Daughter Halima Raboobee married Cassim Jogee.

Sheik Abdulla & Dr Mossidah Raboobee

Sheik Abdulla Emam Raboobee was born in Durban on the 12 June 1897, and was the first son of Sheik Emam Raboobee.
Educated at the Carlisle Street Indian Government School, and even during his school years took an interest and was connected with his fathers business, and for many years took control of the business which was a family legacy of his grandmother Rabia Bee Bee.
He lived at the family home at 27 Florida Road, Greyville.
He was married to Zohra with whom he had no children.
Then married Dr.Mossidah and they had a son Raficq.
Their son Raficq passed away in London in 2020.

Sheik Hassan Emam Raboobee was born on the 25th December 1899 in Durban, and was the second son of Sheik Emam Raboobee.
Educated at the Carlisle Street Indian Government School, and even during his school, years took an interest and was connected with his fathers business, which was a family legacy of his grandmother Rabia Bee Bee.
He lived at the family home at 27 Florida Road, Greyville. The business was at 2 Ascot Street, Greyville and then at 142 Indian Market, Victoria Street in Durban. The business initially traded as Hassan's and Abdulla's Butchery, and later Hassan's Butchery when brother Abdulla took a more passive role.

Aboobaker Sultan (1931-1987) was the son of Hajee ML Sultan and Mariam Bee Sultan. Afeefa Wahid (1935-1995) was the daughter of Molvi Abdul Wahid and Fathima Wahid.
Aboobaker and Afeefa were married on 26th January 1953.

Now my family has always had an amazing relationship Baba Raboobee (and his family of course), and even though I emigrated 23 years ago, I always made a point of visiting uncle Baba whenever I came to Durban, and he was always amongst the most cheerful bubbly, full of life people I have known, and it was always a pleasure to catch up with him.
So Baba is the son of Sheik Hassan Raboobee (son of Sheik Emam Raboobee), and I got to know his mums name (a few weeks ago) was Zeenat so updated that piece of information and locked it away.
Then I was updating the Sheik Ansari Raboobee tree last night and noted his wife to be Hawa Bibi Ansari, and they had a daughter Zeenat - so updated and locked that bit away too.
Only last night (28 December 2021), whilst talking to Baba's son Nasir, the penny dropped further into how these families are related.
So figured that Hassan Raboobee married his first cousin Zeenat Ansari and so Hawa Bibi Ansari was both Hassan Raboobee's aunt, his mother-in-law, and Baba's Nani.
